Weekends

I often wonder who decided that weekends should be 2 days and the work week should be 5.  To me this seems unbalanced.  Not sure about all you but every Monday I feel like the weekend flew by!  Friday's always seem so far away and by the time my Friday comes around I'm exhausted by the long work week.  I wish we could change this.  In the meantime, I've already accomplished a few things this Monday.  The drive in was nice, Heidi and I always have things to catch up on.  Then there was breakfast.  Now, I sit and wait until 1:45 p.m.  This is the last time I will be able to go the bathroom before drinking 3-8 ounces of water and then I get to see the baby!  Nick and I have been waiting anxiously for this ultrasound appointment.  I won't pretend, I am nervous.  I've never had one of these and like most woman I worry about all the stuff to worry about.  At the same time I am super excited.  It's funny how a human life can make you not wonder about short weekends or other things that are part of this gloomy Monday.  I get to see our baby today!  It's priceless :)

Half-way there!

We'll find out on Monday when the official due date is but for now http://www.babycenter.com/ is tracking me at being 20 weeks, which means I'm half-way there!  Because I found out at around 13 weeks that I was pregnant, my Dr. hasn't been able to give me an accurate due date.  The big ultra sound will be able to tell us more.  We'll also be able to find out the sex, but Nick and I decided to wait until our little baby is here.  We're both pretty patient and the excitement of not knowing is really fun!  For us anyway :)  When I first found out that I was pregnant, my sister encouraged me to sign up on babycenter.  I however waited a couple weeks until the shock passed.  Now I'm on here all the time!  It's so nice to know what is happening.  They even have cool pictures and video to go along with.  Here is what the baby looks like at 20 weeks.  Baby is about 6 1/2 inches long or as long as a banana!  Hilarious!

My Wedding

Well one of the best days of my life came and went this past weekend.  Everything was PERFECT.  The food from Zilli's Hospitality Group, wonderful friends and photographers - the McManigals, the live music by my favorite local band and dear friends the Lovemonkeys and the venue at our own little private Ausblick ski hill.  The most important part of the weekend is the love from my family and friends.  I could not ask for better people in my life, I will always remember this the most.  I'm so lucky to have both my parents and my twin sister Heidi.  They are unbelievable.  And not to mention, I just married into a great family.  I'm proud to say that I am officially a Coraggio.  Above is a sneak peek at one of our pictures we've gotten back so far.  He always gives the best kisses!  How lucky I am to have a husband like Nick. 

Life

On a daily basis I think of myself being spontaneous, adventurous, and up for anything.  Long term however I'm a bit of a planner.  My education, career and even relationships have been planned with care and thought.  When I found out a couple months ago that I was pregnant and already in the 2nd trimester I was in disbelief.  How could I have a little Life growing inside me for months and not even know it!  My body acted normal, the at home pregnancy test came back negative, and I was only a few months away from getting married. But there I was on my back (which got me in this situation in the first place), and the Dr. wasn't joking.  As I wiped my tears of fear away I began to laugh at this little Life in my belly that was on the ultrasound screen waving at me! Here's the baby's first picture...I can't wait to tell 'baby' all about this weekend his mommy and daddy got married!

Marriage

I don't procrastinate much but for some reason this blog has taken a couple years to create. How exciting that my first post is on something so big - Marriage! 

What would it be like to marry your best friend?  Well I'm going to find out this weekend!  Here we are this past Fall at my first Badger football game.  Nick is my best friend and teaches me something everyday.  I'm so lucky.
