Silas, walks, daytime tv.

My favorites as of late are Silas, walks, and daytime tv.  I will miss these things as things will change in a few weeks when I return to work.

Last night was a good one, Silas slept from 11-3am! We're trying to work our way up past 4 hours, but he still only sleeps this long periodically. The more time I spend at home the more I want to be here and not go back to work! I do miss a few people and the cafeteria. That's about it. Oh and lunch. It's going to be so weird to have 'free' time and not have to feed, change or hold Silas. But I'm going to miss that too, more than I've ever missed anything.  It will be good though, we've got a good plan.  When I go back to work I'll have FMLA on Monday so it will just be Silas and I.  Tuesday-Thursday Silas will be with Ba-Ba and Jack.  Friday's just with Ba-Ba, but I'm sure they will visit with Heidi and Jellie. So three more weeks and it will be different again.  Tomorrow I go to the Dr. so it will be nice to get the 'all clear'.  I'm just looking forward to enjoying the Fall weather and all the other exciting changes!  Here is my favorite in his new vibrating seat!  LOVE him.

Mischief Maker

So lots of dirty diapers, baths, bottles, a trip to Walmart (just me and Silas), and Silas's first Packer Game!  We've had a pretty good week.  Silas is now on a non-milk based formula which is much better for him.  No more bloody poops and the diaper rash is almost completely gone.  We saw the Doctor today and everything is going really well.  It's amazing how much better I feel about life after we go to the Doctor.  She gave us some free samples of formula and Vitamin D.  Love our Pediatrician, she's the best.  This week I'm also feeling more like myself.  I have stopped breastfeeding which has been bittersweet.  Because of Silas's milk allergy, I would've had to modify my diet and exclude anything dairy.  Seeing as though this change would've put me over the edge I decided it was best for everyone to stop breastfeeding.  So no more pumping or sore boobs but I do miss having the power to just feed him with my boobs!  Today we're going to try and go for a walk, it's so nice out!  This weather is exactly what I would think about when I was pregnant.  Oh and on another note, my shoes fit!  My feet and ankles are back to normal, no more swelling.  Now we just have to wait a few more weeks and hopefully my wedding ring will fit.  I'm glad Nick can wear his ring because if he didn't have it on, I think woman would hit on him.  I know if I was single I would :)  Nick has been amazing.  He's the best husband and daddy, we could ever ask for.  I'll save the bragging for another post, I could write a book on how great Nick is.  So the best thing Nick and I have ever done is create our little Mischief Maker....

Silas - Happy 2 weeks!

Today Silas is two weeks old.  Yes, time does fly.  We're going to the doctor today, which I'm excited about because getting out of the house is a nice break for me and I have lots of questions for the Doctor.  Such as:  Do babies sweat?  His diaper has been kinda wet lately and at first I thought it was the diapers but now I think it might be sweat!  Secondly, his butt rash.  It's so red and having the doctor take a peek will put me at ease.  There's other questions too, but won't bore you all with them.  So besides feeding, changing, laundry and trying to remember to eat myself things have been so different but in a good way.  We couldn't be more lucky to have such a cute, healthy baby.  Here he is in his swing that Auntie Heidi let us borrow.  She let's us borrow a lot of things!  Ok, I will try to update my blog as much as possible but if I don't get to it I swear I'm not away on vacation :)
